BlueCrate Findings is a furniture marketplace specializing in resourcing from companies that benefit humanity, creating opportunities for employment and treating people with dignity. Leveraging a background rooted in interior design and importing antique pieces, BlueCrate is meticulously curating a collection of exquisite furniture and decor items tailored to elevate homes while positively impacting humanity.
When BlueCrate made the decision to re-enter the market following a decade-long hiatus, I assumed the role of spearheading their brand redesign. This endeavor sought to establish a unified and compelling visual identity for BlueCrate's relaunch, aligning with their renewed mission and objectives.
The design process drew inspiration from the contemporary landscape of home goods, embracing qualities like delicacy paired with boldness, utilitarianism, quirkiness, and minimalism. A key focus was leveraging typography to narrate the brand's story and employing minimal imagery to guide users through the product experience.
Additionally, the research delved into companies renowned for their meticulous attention to detail, such as Industry of All Nations. Their minimal brand presence coupled with consistent type styling and distinctive tags served as a reference, emphasizing the importance of small characteristics in making products feel exclusive and personalized.
